Paul is one of my all-time favs AND he happens to be a friend. I love him and his music. He manages to write beautiful songs that can still make you giggle every once in a while. And still to this day, one of my favorite evenings was spent with my friend Amanda and Paul. Listening to his then new and unreleased record, The Velvet Rut, drinking wine and raspberry beer, and Paul yelling at Amanda not to use her old "collectable quarters" to buy more cigarettes. According to him... "they'd be worth money someday!"...heh! Still makes me laugh. Best night in EVER!

He also happens to be married to another one of my favorite's, Devon Sproule. I love to see them together, which is rare. I love that you can see how much they love each other when they sing together and that makes my heart happy. They just moved to Berlin, and that makes my heart a little sad. But I'm so excited that they are both doing so well over there!! But friends, please don't stay over there all the time, America loves you too!
I love that they are some serious musicians but they don't take themselves too seriously!
